Ninja Scroll is an anime classic that hearkens back to the Kurosawa era of samurai epics, only with even more violence. Jûbei is a clanless ninja who becomes entangled in a conspiracy and must reluctantly team up with an ancient monk and a forbidden female ninja. Battling against time, they must defeat the Eight Demons of Kimon and ultimately face the Immortal Genma before he upheaves the entire social system.
